CareLynx leads the way for Aged Care, integrating Allied Health access into My Health Record

Aged care technology and clinical consulting provider CareLynx, has achieved a significant milestone, completing both integration to My Health Record, and being selected by ADHA to extend those capabilities allowing Allied Health Practitioners to connect seamlessly to My Health Record through CareLynx’s Clinical Care Navigator.

CareLynx, a Brisbane based clinical software solution for the aged and community care sector, has completed not only completed their integration with My Health Record, Australia’s national health information platform but been successful in expanding that capability for Allied Health Providers through the recent Industry Offer facilitated by ADHA. This connection marks a landmark achievement for both aged care, clinical and allied health providers across Australia, ensuring they can access timely and accurate clinical information — including hospital discharge summaries, pathology results and diagnostic imaging reports — directly within their CareLynx workflow.

Health professionals using the CareLynx software can now send e-referrals and view shared clinical documents from My Health Record without leaving their existing system. This means care decisions are supported by a more complete picture of a person’s health, reducing the need for duplicate tests, unnecessary appointments and time-consuming information chasing.

“This is a defining moment for CareLynx and a first for the aged care providers that we serve. Connecting to My Health Record, and enabling Allied Health Practitioners the same access, means our users are no longer working with incomplete information — they can see the same shared clinical picture as the rest of a person’s care team. For aged care clients with complex or chronic conditions, this connectivity translates directly into safer, more coordinated care. We are proud to play a role in bringing true interoperability into Australia’s digital health ecosystem for Aged Care.”

The integration also leverages the Australian Government’s Share by Default mandate, which increases the availability of pathology and diagnostic imaging reports in My Health Record within the CareLynx system. Allied health providers using CareLynx will benefit from this expanded information availability, supporting more informed assessment, e-referrals, treatment planning and follow-up care — particularly for people with complex, ongoing health needs.

“CareLynx’s connection to My Health Record demonstrates exactly how embedding national digital health infrastructure into existing clinical systems creates real, on-the-ground value for clinicians and consumers alike. Allied health professionals are a vital part of integrated, team-based care, and this milestone helps ensure they have the information they need to deliver safe, person-centred care. The Australian Digital Health Agency congratulates CareLynx on this achievement and looks forward to continuing our collaboration to support adoption across the sector.”
